Every year, the PSU opens new services in areas of high deprivation to provide face to face, practical and emotional support to court-users in England and Wales. Your regular giving enables people to receive the help they need in court by providing them with access to PSU volunteers.
We maintain our cost per contact at or below £20, but we must increase our income to over £1.2 million to support our planned expansion, and ensure we keep our current centres open.
PSU Friends commit to supporting the charity through regular giving, and in return, receive updates about the PSU and access to special Friends’ events, such as wine tastings and musical performances.

Previous student volunteers have told us that being a PSU volunteer improved their client skills, gave them direct exposure to a range of court cases, and an overall better understanding of the legal system. Many have requested to hear about our progress and ways to support their local PSU. For this reason, we have now launched the PSU Alumni Network.

Members of the Carey Club are our closest supporters, who donate £600 or more annually. Members connect with the charity more closely, receive regular updates from the CEO and Trustees, and have the opportunity to visit one of our PSUs to meet with us and see our work in action.
